About the project
● To complete the construction of MRFs in Paro and Zhemgang Dzongkhags. ● To relocate and construct the existing 40 TPD MRF from Taba to Memelakha. Implementation modality: NIM Type of support: Adaptation Subsector: early warning Use, impact and results: The proposed construction of a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Paro is expected to strengthen the waste management system in the western region by providing dedicated infrastructure for the segregation, sorting, processing and recovery of recyclable materials. The facility will improve the recovery of valuable resources from the municipal waste stream and reduce the quantity of waste requiring final disposal. Project component/outputs: 1. MRF in Zhemgang and Paro 2. Relocate MRF to Memelakha Reference: DPR
